Professional Experience
Integration Engineer - XPRIZE AURA
Sept 2025 – June 2026
- Developed an autonomous UAV swarm for autonomous wildfire detection and mitigation
- Deployed in Alaska to manage the integration of CV systems into the tech stack
- Engineered a novel thermal detection refinement method to localise fires with 1m accuracy
- Profiled system architecture to identify critical network bottlenecks and mitigate them
- Conducted rapid hardware-in-the-loop testing cycles in a 38h non-stop development sprint

Propulsion Avionics Engineer - Sunride
Sept 2024 – May 2026
- Designed avionic systems for the university's first liquid rocket engine test stand
- Utilised LabJack DAQ systems to interface sensors and actuators for precise control
- Built a SIMULINK fluid model with PID control to regulate fuel and oxidiser flow to engines
- Implemented fault detection and safety protocols for rocket engine test procedures
- Explored engine gimbaling systems on the test stand to control thrust direction

Assistant Project Engineer - AMRC
Jul 2024 – Oct 2024
- Designed and manufactured a £4000 partial discharge testing cell for 20kV motor coils
- Co-ordinated and liaised with 6 suppliers to source components for manufacturing
- Managed project deliverables, mitigated risks, and produced supporting documentation
- Used Ansys FEA to evaluate the feasibility of geometries in slinky stator manufacture
- Utilised Ansys' design optimisation for the pneumatic end effector of a sorting robot

Catalogue Executive - MinsterFB
Jul 2022 – Oct 2022
- Created and optimised listings for maximum engagement and profitability
- Used Excel to make an automated product name generator based on supplier data
- Designed enhanced graphical content for 5 brands using Canva and Inkscape
- Gained a good understanding of SEO for Amazon listings to help maximise conversions
- Built a python tool to automate image generation for product listings
